ESTABLISHED 1982
Progressive veterinary medicine
with a caring, hands-on approach
Como Park Animal Hospital and Laser Surgery Center opened its doors in 1982, as the product of Dr. David Wetherill’s vision and dedication to excellence in veterinary medicine. The hospital got its name as a tribute to his St. Paul roots.
Since then, we have grown into a 9-doctor practice, open 7 days a week, offering a variety of patient care services and technologies, and have added a 4-doctor urgent care service which makes us a 24 Hour veterinary hospital. Our team has always found ways to offer forward thinking and progressive medicine, with a personal and gentle touch.
Our veterinarians and staff are active members of national, state and local organizations, and have participated in many community events, like the Animal Humane Society’s Walk for Animals. We have worked with the Humane Society, Roseville Animal Control, various rescue and adoption groups, local zoos, even the St. Paul Police K9 unit.
We have been a proud member of AAHA (the American Animal Hospital Association) for over 20 years. This voluntary accreditation means we hold ourselves, our medicine and our service to a higher standard, especially in the areas of patient care, pain management, and customer service.
