Como Park Animal Hospital and Laser Surgery Center

"Where excellence in pet care is just a walk to the Park"

Our Staff

Alongside our veterinarians, our patients are cared for by a skilled and dedicated health care team consisting of certified veterinary technicians, patient advocates, receptionists and trained veterinary assistants.

Meet our Veterinary Technicians:

Our talented, dedicated, professional team of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs), have a combined 75 years of experience!  Their skills, training and commitment to excellence makes them a valuable part of our healthcare team.  They work alongside our veterinarians, assisting with surgeries and procedures, educating clients, expediting labwork, and overseeing in-hospital patient care.  Their training allows the doctor to fully concentrate on his/her tasks, and be confident that every pet is receiving excellent care and handling.  They are happy to spend the time with clients explaining procedures, medications and tests, and educating them about their pets needs, from day-to-day hygiene, exercise, and diet, to specific health care concerns.  Their love for animals and genuine care and interest in the welfare of all animals makes every pets' health and well being their highest priority.

Meet our Veterinary Assistants:

Working alongside our veterinarians and veterinary technicians is our highly dedicated and trained team of Veterinary Assistants.  They see to you and your pets' safety and comfort during their entire visit to Como Park Animal Hospital.  They provide a firm, but gentle, appropriately positioned hold on your animal during procedures, to assure they do not hurt themself by moving at the wrong moment.  They take care of the daily needs to hospitalized and boarding pets.  They work hard to make the hospital a clean and comfortable for everyone.  Their love for animals comes through if you have the chance to watch them hard at work. Their concern for your pet's comfort and well-being is what motivates each of these hard working employees to give so much to your pet and their job!

Receptionists / Patient Advocates:

This group of talented individuals coordinates every pet's visit at our facility. They are responsible for incoming phone calls and questions, scheduling appointments and fit-in appointments when necessary. They also assist the workflow for our doctors by checking clients in, locating and maintaining medical records, invoicing clients out, and finding the correct answers to every client's question.

All of our receptionists are either trained veterinary technicians or assistants.  Their backgrounds and experience widely vary, but the one common thread through them all is their sincere love of animals!
