Meet Dr. David Wetherill, D.V.M. He is the proud owner and founder of

Park
Animal
Hospital & Laser
Surgery
Center. Dr. Wetherill established his clinic in 1982 with a strong commitment to high quality small animal medicine. He specializes in canine and feline medicine, with medical services also available for exotic species, including birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, reptiles, etc!
After attending primary and secondary schools throughout
Michigan,
Illinois, and
Iowa, Dr. Wetherill earned his undergraduate degrees from
Macalester
College in
Saint Paul,
MN. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, as well as earning a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education. Dr. Wetherill then earned his Veterinary doctorate in 1980 from the
University of
Minnesota.
Dr. Wetherill is a member of AVMA, MVMV, AAV, AAHA, and VMA. His special interests have been avian and exotic species while maintaining his strong focus on dogs and cats as companion animals. He is a former board member of the Animal Emergency Clinics, Macalester College IACUC, St. Thomas University IACUC, and a consulting veterinarian for
St. Thomas
University, assuring humane care and use of laboratory animals.
Dr. Wetherill's hobbies include fishing, boating, building construction and repairs, and many opportunities to help others.

Meet Dr. Patrick Jennrich, D.V.M. He is a talented, dedicated veterinarian practicing quality medicine at
Como
Park
Animal
Hospital since 1993.
Dr. Jennrich earned his doctorate from the
University of
Minnesota in 1992. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 1988 at
St. John's
University, in
Collegeville,
MN. Dr. Jennrich completed his Veterinary Internship as a rotating small animal intern at
Atlantic
Veterinary
College,
University of
Prince Edward Island.
Dr. Jennrich is a member of AVMA, MVMA, AAHA and AARV. He has a special interest in Orthopedic Medicine, pet care, pain management and a special love of Golden Retrievers.
Besides sharing a home with his wife, Patty, and two children Victoria and Michael, Dr. Jennrich also shares his time and love amongst 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, and a number of fish. Dr. Jennrich started his career at
Como
Park
Animal
Hospital while still a student. He filled the critical role of a Vet Assistant while studying and deciding his future. Some of his outside interests include triathlons, camping, fishing, hiking, and pretty much all outdoor activities!

Meet Dr. Chris Casey, D.V.M. He is a committed, caring doctor, practicing veterinary medicine with

Park
Animal
Hospital
since 1998.
Dr. Casey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the
University
of
Minnesota
in 1989. He went on to complete his doctorate there as well. He earned his D.V.M. in 1995.
Dr. Casey is a member of AVMA, MVMA, AAHA, and AAV. He has special interests in Avian and Exotic Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Dentistry, Animal Behavior, and Ophthalmology.
Besides sharing his home and time with his beautiful wife, Dr. Christa Troye and their two children Nicholas and Molly, Dr. Casey finds space for five cats! His interests include running, (even Marathons!), hockey, canoeing and fishing in the MN Boundary Waters area.

Meet Dr. Christa Troye, D.V.M. She is a warm, friendly, compassionate veterinarian practicing excellent medicine at

Dr. Troye earned her doctorate in 2000 from the
University of
Minnesota's,
College of
Veterinary Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from
Drake
University in
Des Moines,
Iowa in 1996.
Dr. Troye is a member of AVMA, MVMA, AAHA, and AAV. Among her professional interests are pediatric and geriatric medicine, behavioral studies, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Troye has a couple of very significant connections to the practice. She was a client of
Como
Park
Animal
Hospital long before her employment began. She had brought her family's Lhasa Apso, "Bo", to the clinic when she was growing up. Besides our good fortune to have her return as an associate veterinarian, she also met her husband here, Dr. Chris Casey.
Dr. Troye has had dogs, cats, and birds in her family over the years. She currently shares her home and life with husband, son Nicholas and daughter Molly. Her hobbies include scrap booking, rollerblading, spending time with family and friends.

Meet Dr. Michelle Guzik, D.V.M. She is a bright, young doctor, who has recently joined the Como Park Animal Hospital team in July 2010.
Dr. Guzik earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota in 2003 . She continued on to earn her veterinary doctorate from Ross University in 2008. We are pleased to have been a part of her education too. Her veterinary externship was here at Como Park Animal Hospital, as well as various times worked as a relief veterinarian for us after graduation.
Dr. Guzik’s professional interests include reptiles, surgery, internal medicine, client education and critical care.
She currently shares her home with her two dogs Kole and Baker and her newest furry addition, her cat Pheobe. Her hobbies and interests outside of work include hiking, camping, hockey, volleyball, reading and the outdoors.
